Lumbar-Cervical Pillow

The Lumbar-Cervical Pillow is indicated for rectification and inversion of physiological curves of the spine in the cervical or lumbar areas. It is used to give a proprioceptive stimulus and help re-establish spine physiological curves.

More Applications of the Lumbar-Cervical Pillow:

In genu recurvatum cases, it prevents compensation in the popliteal space area.

In cases of cervical hyperlordosis or forward flexion of the head, when the patient is unable to correctly position the head on the K-Stretch (since the head is bent backwards), the pillow works as a support to be placed under the occipital area (under the back of the neck as shown in picture below during postural paravertebral massaging, Fig. 3 or 4) to allow correct positioning.

DOUBLE BALL for self-massaging

The double ball is placed to have the spinal apophysis (protrusions of the vertebrae) l coincide with the central slit (Fig. 1). For self-massaging one starts from the upper dorsal area (Fig. 2). Thanks to K-Stretch inclined plane, all one needs to do is to gently lie down so that the ball slides down some few centimeters and then slide down again breathing in a more relaxed way. This movement must be repeated to have the ball slide down a little bit more so that the farthest area for self massaging will correspond to the lower lumbar area (T10-T12). It is forbidden to self massage the lumbar area. A lumbar-cervical pillow or some other lifting device will certainly be need in order to properly position the back of the neck as shown in pictures 3 and 4. Two different positions are possible. One with your legs bent (Fig. 3), the other one with your legs extended on the K-Stretch (Fig. 4).
